Prayer for the Church

At the Holy Child Festival Eucharist Fr. Jonathan Sy  spoke about the power of prayer and fasting to facilitate growth.  I would like to share the following prayer:

Lord,

Bless All Saints’ Parish.

Send your Spirit to the people that they may be a witness to you in the Las Vegas Valley.

Bless Carol, the Priest in Charge, that she may be a gentle pastor leading the congregation.

Bless the vestry that they may be careful stewards of the parish.

Bless the clergy, that they may deliver your sacraments to arm the congregation for ministry.

Bless the deacons, that they may faithfully bring the needs of the world to the parish of All Saints’ and send people back into the world to minister to those needs.

All these things we ask in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
